The 4 Pillars of Our Teaching Philosophy

We make it simple to learn about music and how to do it well. We think, teach, discuss and organize things with the following four categories in mind at all times.

Melody: a rhythmical succession of single tones producing a distinct musical phrase or idea.

Harmony: the simultaneous combination of tones, especially when blended into chords pleasing to the ear; chordal structure, as distinguished from melody and rhythm.

Rhythm: the systematic arrangement of musical sounds, principally according to duration and periodic stress.

Composition: combining the above musical elements along with emotion, personality and creativity to form songs
